The one word uttered over and over today. Seriously the only way to describe it :) Even though we had the worst. sleep. ever. Sienna got to sleep with us last night and this is how she was laying when we first went to bed:
Great...plenty of room for all of us :| We managed to squish ourselves in there like sardines. Then 10 minutes later she sat right up, turned 180 degrees and flopped down. Head at the opposite end of the bed. Fantastic. Or should I say...awesome.
I actually remember waking up at 130am and thinking "oh GOD we have 6 more hours of this?!" As soon as we woke up though our lack of sleep was quickly forgotten. The Easter Bunny was very good to us this year :)
Phrases heard around our house today were
"Oh. My. GOODNESS!"
"What in the WORLD?!"
"Can you believe this?"
and
"No. WAY!"
It was...you guessed it...awesome.
She had no idea what a Kinder Egg was, let alone a giant one. We had to rip it open to prove to her it was edible.
This Kinder Egg was literally the only chocolate egg she got (minus the giant one). She gave us (well the Bunny) crap for it, "uh this is supposed to be coloured! What in the world Easter Bunny! What were you thinking?"
Her Mini Lalaloopsy Ferris Wheel. Oh my goodness! How did that Easter Bunny know how much I needed this?
And Zoey was quite pleased with her "Weeble to wobble so they don't fall down."
Then we discovered the Easter Bunny also came to Mimi and Papa's!
I couldn't get a good shot because she actually ran everywhere.
Probably the biggest hit of the day though...a Playmobil Doll House:
At least the biggest hit for me and Mimi ha. We're planning on 'after the girls are in bed' doll house playing already.
Since Kyle had to work, we thought we'd make the best of the day and head to Niagara on the Lake.
We hit up the park:
Had an amazing late lunch:
Then spent some time on the beach:
It was awesome :)
We didn't end up leaving unti 430. We were all pretty pooped. The best part of the trip home?
Yep
Awesome.
And ya that's chocolate drool marks there.
Preschooler Thought of the Day:
After Kyle tucked her in bed tonight (she was already fast asleep), she shot up and said:
"Daddy, today was the best Easter Day. That was the best lunch. Dinner was so good. It was such a great day. I loved all my eggs. I had so much fun at that park. The beach was the best. It was just such a great day today. This water is shooting out of my sippy cup."
I'm glad your fast flowing water made it in your list of 'great things' today kiddo :)
