This morning started out with Kyle driving Marion to the airport. My mom had to drive my dad into Toronto at the same time so Kyle was nice enough to get up early and take her :) He got home around 630am and sat outside and enjoyed a quiet morning to himself. He said he came in at 656am and Sienna was still fast asleep, snoring in her bed. Then he said at 7:01 she bounded out of bed and yelled "good morning!" to him. There goes my theory of her laying in bed awake until 7am rolled around. Must just be her internal clock. Anyway, first thing she wanted to do was put on her conductors costume (what did I say about seeing that thing a lot in the next week?!) and build "towers." The first thing she showed me when I got up was "the tallest tower!"
Like I said my mom dropped my dad off in Toronto (he's on his way to Alaska to visit my uncle) and she came back with a nanny! That's right Nanny's back in town :) They got back just after 10am so we had a nice long visit until everyone was ready for a nap (ha, yes, everyone). Nanny didn't quite make it as long as Sienna did. As usual, Nanny came bearing gifts. The biggest hits were a new guitar (child sized of course) and a little doll. When Nanny went for a nap we left and Sienna insisted on "singing some songs to the chipmunks." Alright....
She toted that thing around all day, singing songs. Very cute.
After dinner we decided to go to Kitchener City Hall for Tooney Tuesday. It's a children's concert sponsored by a number of companies around the city (including Rogers, meaning it was televised LIVE ha) every Tuesday from 6-8pm in July. It's free but they encourage a donation of a tooney (hence the name) to go to Family and Children Services. Well, this week Brian was playing. So off we went! There were actually a TON of people there. I was a little surprised. It took Sienna about 20 minutes to get going (she does this stand and stare thing ha) but she really enjoyed it. There was also a "puppet tamer" after Brian and he was actually really good! Kyle laughed out loud pretty much the whole time (surprisingly).
Looking at Brian on the sidelines and waiting patiently for him to come out.
Tim Holland "puppet tamer"
We didn't stay right until 8, we got home just after 730. Sienna was pretty excited still. Pretending to be Brian and dancing around. I don't know what it is about that guy, but she loves him! If you look on his website you can see he wears a brightly coloured belt and matching chuck taylors. Well, as some of you know, Kyle has a few pairs. Sienna got a pair of orange ones out and wore them around while performing before bed:
Pretty ridiculous.
She REALLY wanted to wear the shoes to bed and bring the guitar but we convinced her to leave them in the living room until tomorrow ha. I definitely think we'll be going to the next two Tuesdays, it was a lot of fun!

sounds like loads of fun, I had hadn't heard of toonie tuesday, we may check it out.
